Show Me (WAITT Variation) - premiered, performed and recorded by line upon line

Similarly to another piece of mine, this piece was inspired by my longtime use of samplers, specifically (and scored for in this piece) the Roland 404-SX. The world premiere occurred in Austin, TX by the extremely talented and bold line upon line. The work focuses on blurring the lines in between the language of sample-based music that was highly influential during the end of the last millennium and spilling into our current one, which is a world in which I lived for a long time, and the contemporary concert language in which I’ve received my classical training. And it’s fun.
